Care instructions

Always follow the instructions supplied with the individual product first. Product-specific instructions take precedence over the general recommendations on this page.

Regular care

Empty the product completely and remove loose dust or dirt with a soft brush or dry cloth. Treat stains as soon as possible.

Cleaning

Clean backpacks and bags gently by hand using a soft cloth or sponge, lukewarm water and, if necessary, a small amount of mild detergent.

Do not use aggressive cleaners, bleach, solvents or abrasive products. Machine washing and tumble drying are only suitable where expressly permitted for the individual product.

Drying

Leave the product open and allow it to air-dry completely at room temperature. Avoid direct heat, radiators, hairdryers, tumble dryers and intense sunlight.

Zips and fittings

Keep zips, buckles and fittings free from sand, dust and other residue. Do not force zips. After contact with salt or heavy dirt, clean carefully with fresh water and allow to dry completely.

Water-repellent and coated materials

Water-repellent properties can change over time through use, abrasion and cleaning. A product is fully waterproof only if this is expressly stated for that product.

To refresh a water-repellent treatment, use only a product suitable for the material and follow its instructions. Test care products on an inconspicuous area first.

Storage

Store backpacks and bags clean, dry and well ventilated. Avoid prolonged moisture, heavy compression and placing heavy objects on the product.
